Meet Dr. Goulston:

Dr. Goulston is a dual-degree, board certified, oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices the full scope of his profession in Middlesex County and Central New Jersey. Dr. Goulston attended Boston College as an undergraduate before being accepted to The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Goulston was among the top graduates in his class.

Upon graduation, Dr. Goulston was accepted to the Mount Sinai Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program in New York City, New York. This highly competitive, integrated, 6-year program included dedicated year(s) in general surgery, anesthesia, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Goulston served as chief resident during his senior year.

In addition, Dr. Goulston attended The Icahn/Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in 2006. He is one of the few oral surgeons in New Jersey who is both a dentist and a licensed medical doctor.

After completion of his training, Dr. Goulston moved to Pennsylvania. He treated patients in both private practice and hospital settings. Dr. Goulston was consistently identified by general dentists and his peers as a top oral surgeon in the area; he also won awards for Heroism for his care of hospital trauma patients.

In 2014, Dr. Goulston’s life-long dream of his own oral surgery center was realized in South Plainfield, New Jersey with the opening of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Specialists of Middlesex, LLC.

Dr. Goulston is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia. He is also an active candidate for Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons, an honor held by only a handful of oral surgeons in New Jersey.

Dr. Goulston is an associate clinical professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital and is a staff surgeon at multiple regional Pennsylvania hospitals. He has lectured both locally and nationally on various topics in oral surgery and implantology. Dr. Goulston is also an American Heart Association BLS/CPR and Heart-saver Instructor.

In his spare time, Dr. Goulston enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as his English and French bulldogs: Handsome Oscar and Daisy LaRue. Dr. Goulston is an avid sports fan, movie buff, and enjoys playing golf whenever he can.
